The Neo weighs about 135 grams and launches from your palm, which is the whole point: no controller, no unfolding, no clearing a takeoff pad. Pick a QuickShot and it flies the move on its own.

A 1/2-inch sensor records 4K at 30 fps, stabilized by a single-axis gimbal plus RockSteady electronic stabilization. Full-coverage propeller guards are part of the airframe, so brushing a wall indoors is survivable.

Flight time is about 18 minutes per battery and footage lands on 22 GB of internal storage, so there is no card to forget.

Questions & answers

Do I need a remote controller?

No. The Neo takes off from your palm for QuickShots and can also be flown from the DJI Fly app over Wi-Fi. A DJI RC-N3 or RC Motion 3 controller is optional and sold separately.

Do I have to register it with the FAA?

At about 135 g it is under the 250 g registration threshold for recreational flying in the United States. You still need to pass the free TRUST test and follow the airspace rules.

Does it take a memory card?

No. There are 22 GB of internal storage on board, and clips come off over USB-C or wirelessly with DJI's Quick Transfer.

Can I fly it indoors?

Yes. The propeller guards are part of the airframe and the downward sensor helps it hold position over a textured floor, though it still needs a room with some clearance.

How much wind can it handle?

It is rated to level 4 wind, about 8 m/s or 18 mph. Beyond that a 135 g airframe gets pushed around and the flight time drops sharply.
