The Tab S11 is Samsung's smaller flagship tablet: an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel at 2560 x 1600, running at 120Hz and peaking near 1,600 nits, in an aluminium body 5.5 mm thick.

The MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ handles the work, and the S Pen is in the box rather than an upsell. The stylus has been reshaped with a hexagonal barrel and a conical tip, and it carries the same IP68 rating as the tablet itself.

An 8,400mAh battery, quad speakers and wireless Samsung DeX round out a tablet meant for note-taking and drawing as much as for video.

Questions & answers

Is the S Pen included, and does it need charging?

It is in the box. The stylus is passive for writing and needs no charge for that, and it now carries an IP68 rating of its own. There is no slot inside the body, so it attaches magnetically to the back.

Can I add a memory card?

Yes. The Tab S11 keeps a microSDXC slot, so the 128GB model can be topped up with a card for media and downloads. Apps still install to internal storage.

How does it differ from the Tab S11 Ultra?

The Ultra is a much larger 14.6-inch tablet with a bigger battery and a second front camera. The chip, the S Pen and the software are the same, so this is a size and price decision.

Can it replace a laptop?

For writing, browsing, mail and drawing, largely yes, especially with DeX and a keyboard case. Desktop software that has no Android version, and heavy local video editing, still belong on a laptop.

Is a keyboard case included?

No. The Book Cover Keyboard and Book Cover Keyboard Slim are sold separately and connect through the pogo pins on the back edge. Bluetooth keyboards also pair normally.
