Product details

This is the smallest speaker in the PartyBox line, which still means a 5.25-inch woofer, two dome tweeters and 100 watts on a battery that holds up for fifteen hours. A moulded handle runs across the top, so one person can carry it out to a garden or a garage without help.

The ring of LEDs around the driver reads the beat and moves with it. Patterns and colours are set in the JBL PartyBox app.

A combo jack on the back takes a microphone or a guitar, which is what turns it from a speaker into a karaoke rig.

Questions & answers

Does a microphone come with it?

No. This version ships without one. The combo jack on the back takes any standard wired microphone, and the same socket accepts an electric guitar.

Can it stay outside in the rain?

IPX4 covers splashes and light drizzle, not a downpour or immersion. Keep it under cover in real rain and away from the edge of a pool.

How much battery does the lightshow use?

Enough to matter. Fifteen hours assumes moderate volume. At high volume with the lights running the whole time, expect noticeably less, and you can dim or disable them in the app.

Can I connect two of them?

Yes. Auracast pairs a second PartyBox as a stereo partner, or links other Auracast JBL speakers so they all play the same source together.

Is it heavy to move around?

It weighs just under 14 pounds with a moulded handle across the top, so one adult can carry it comfortably between rooms or out to a yard.
