This is the OLED argument for desktop gaming: a 0.03 ms pixel response, which is roughly a hundred times quicker than a good IPS panel, so moving objects keep their edges instead of smearing. Paired with 240Hz, fast first-person games look closer to the real thing than to a screen.

The panel is flat rather than curved, which suits work as well as play, and a low-reflection coating keeps a bright room from bouncing off it. Two HDMI 2.1 ports and DisplayPort 1.4 all reach the full 240Hz.

Questions & answers

Can I get 240Hz over HDMI, or do I need DisplayPort?

Either works. Both HDMI ports are 2.1, so a console or a GPU on HDMI reaches QHD at 240Hz, as does DisplayPort 1.4 with display stream compression.

What does the warranty cover for burn-in?

LG covers this UltraGear panel for three years in the US including OLED burn-in. The monitor also runs pixel cleaning and logo-dimming routines on its own to reduce the risk.

Is it good for work as well as games?

The flat panel and matte coating make it comfortable for long document and code sessions. Text is slightly softer than on an IPS panel of the same resolution because of the WOLED subpixel layout.

Does it have speakers or USB-C?

No on both. There is a headphone jack with DTS Headphone:X virtual surround and a USB-A hub, but no internal speakers and no USB-C input, so a laptop needs HDMI or DisplayPort.

Will a PS5 or Xbox Series X work with it?

Yes. Consoles connect over HDMI 2.1 and run 1440p at up to 120Hz with VRR. The remaining headroom to 240Hz is there for a PC graphics card.
