Will this disc work on a PS5 Digital Edition?

Only with a disc drive attached. It is a physical Blu-ray, so the PS5 Pro and the disc-drive PS5 Slim read it directly, while a Digital Edition needs the separate add-on drive fitted first.

Do I need to have played earlier Resident Evil games?

No. Grace Ashcroft is a new character and the mystery stands on its own. Leon Kennedy's return and the Raccoon City references land harder if you know the series, but nothing is unexplained if you do not.

Can I play the whole game in third person?

Yes. Both perspectives cover the full campaign and you can swap between them at any time, including mid-encounter, rather than being locked into one for a chapter.

Is there any multiplayer or co-op?

No, Requiem is single-player only. There is no online mode and no co-op campaign.

How much space do I need free on the console?

Around 73 GB for the installation, and a little more headroom for patches. Installing from disc still copies the game to the internal SSD, so the disc alone does not save you the storage.
