The S95F is Samsung's flagship OLED, and its defining feature is the Glare Free matte panel. Light from lamps and windows is scattered instead of mirrored back at you, which makes it one of the few OLEDs that stays readable in a bright living room rather than turning into a dark mirror.

Behind the matte finish is a quantum-dot OLED panel driven by the NQ4 AI Gen3 processor at up to 165Hz. Ports, power and tuner sit in a separate One Connect box, so only one slim cable reaches the screen — helpful for a clean wall mount.

Questions & answers

Does the S95F support Dolby Vision?

No. Samsung TVs use HDR10+ rather than Dolby Vision. Dolby Vision content still plays — it falls back to the HDR10 layer — but the Dolby Vision metadata is not used.

What exactly is the One Connect box?

It is a separate slim box that holds the HDMI ports, USB ports, tuner and power supply. A single thin cable runs from it to the panel, so you can hide the box in a cabinet and keep the wall behind the TV clear.

Does the matte screen wash out black levels?

The coating scatters reflections rather than adding a filter layer over the pixels, so blacks stay deep in a dark room. In a bright room it is the main reason this set holds contrast better than a glossy OLED.

Will my PS5 or Xbox use the 165Hz refresh rate?

Current consoles top out at 4K 120Hz, which the TV handles on any HDMI port. The 165Hz mode is there for a PC graphics card that can drive it.

Can I wall mount it flush?

Yes. The panel is about 0.4 inches thick and, with the One Connect box relocated, only one cable needs to reach the back. A slim or no-gap wall mount is sold separately.
