A 5-quart tilt-head mixer for anyone who bakes often enough to want the counter space back from a hand mixer. The 600-watt motor drives a planetary head, so the beater spins on its own axis while it travels around the bowl and reaches the sides without being scraped down every minute.

Ten speeds run from a slow fold for flour to a full whip for egg whites, and the head tilts back so the bowl comes out one-handed. Flat beater, dough hook, wire whisk and a pour shield are in the box, and the front hub takes optional attachments.

How much dough will it take?

About six cups of flour, which is two standard loaves or roughly four dozen cookies. Run stiff bread dough on speed 2 in batches rather than pushing the motor at higher speeds.

Which parts are dishwasher safe?

The stainless bowl, dough hook, wire whisk and pour shield. Wash the coated flat beater by hand, and keep the motor housing away from water entirely.

Will attachments from other brands fit the hub?

The hub follows the common front-hub shape, but fit and grip vary by brand and we cannot promise any particular one will work. ComBuy Home attachments are sold separately.

Does the bowl lock into the base?

Yes. It drops onto three tabs and twists to lock, then releases with a quarter turn, so it stays put while the dough hook is working.

How loud is it in use?

Roughly a kitchen extractor on medium. Speeds 1 and 2 are quiet; the noise arrives at the top speeds and whenever stiff dough loads the motor.
