Can it run Microsoft Office?

Through the browser, yes. Word, Excel and PowerPoint all work as web apps, and the Android versions can be installed from Google Play. The desktop Windows programs do not install on ChromeOS.

Is the screen a touchscreen?

This model is not. Acer sells a separate touch version of the Chromebook Plus 515 under the CB515-2HT model code if touch input matters to you.

Can I add more memory or storage later?

No. The 8GB of LPDDR5X is soldered to the board and the 128GB of UFS storage is fixed. Use Google Drive or a USB drive if you need more room.

How long does it keep getting updates?

Chromebooks receive ChromeOS updates for ten years from the platform's release date, delivered automatically in the background.

Does it work without internet?

Yes for the basics. Docs, Sheets, Gmail and downloaded media all have offline modes, and files saved to the local Downloads folder open normally. Anything cloud-only waits for a connection.
