Questions & answers

Does it pair with an Android phone?

No. Apple Watch Ultra 3 sets up only from an iPhone, and it needs an iPhone 11 or later running iOS 26 or newer.

How does the satellite feature work, and does it cost anything?

Step outside with a clear view of the sky and the watch guides you to point at a passing satellite. Emergency SOS, Find My and Messages via satellite are included free for two years from activation.

Can I actually scuba dive with it?

Yes. It carries a 100m rating plus EN13319 certification, and with a compatible dive app it supports recreational scuba to 40 metres using the built-in depth gauge and water temperature sensor.

Do I need a cellular plan to use it?

No. Without a plan it works normally alongside your iPhone over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. A carrier plan only matters if you want calls and data when you leave the phone behind.

Which band should I choose?

Ocean Band is a stretchy elastomer strap with a titanium buckle, built for water sports and long enough for a wetsuit with the extension. Alpine Loop is a woven strap with a titanium G hook, and Trail Loop is the lightest of the three.
