Questions & answers

Is this model carrier unlocked?

Yes, this is the unlocked US model. It works on AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, and you activate it with an eSIM during setup rather than a physical SIM card.

How much optical zoom does the telephoto camera give me?

The periscope Fusion Telephoto reaches 100mm, which Apple counts as 4x optical. A sensor crop gives an 8x optical-quality frame at 200mm without switching lenses.

What comes in the box?

The phone, a USB-C to USB-C charge cable and documentation. Apple does not include a power adapter, so you will need a 40W or higher charger for the fastest wired charging.

Will my existing MagSafe accessories still fit?

MagSafe chargers and wallets attach normally, since the magnet array is unchanged. Cases made for earlier Pro Max models will not fit because the camera plateau spans the full width of the back.

Can I move everything over from my old iPhone?

Yes. Quick Start transfers apps, photos, messages and settings directly from another iPhone over Wi-Fi or a cable, or you can restore from an iCloud backup during setup.
