Questions & answers

Which Apple Pencil works with it?

Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil (USB-C). Both pair and store on the magnetic strip, but only the Pro charges there and supports squeeze, barrel roll and pressure.

Is there a Magic Keyboard for the mini?

Apple does not make one at this size. Any Bluetooth keyboard pairs over USB-C or wirelessly, and third parties sell folio keyboards cut for the 8.3-inch body.

How is it different from the entry-level iPad?

The mini is smaller, lighter and faster, and takes the Apple Pencil Pro. The base iPad has a larger 11-inch screen for less money but a slower chip and the USB-C pencil only.

Can it make phone calls?

Not on the Wi-Fi model over a cellular network, but FaceTime audio and video work, and calls to your iPhone can ring through on the same Apple Account over Wi-Fi.

Is 128GB enough?

For reading, streaming, notes and email it is comfortable. Choose more if you keep offline films, large PDF libraries or drawing files on the device, since storage cannot be added later.
